Dust-thunderstorm rain with few hailstorms expected

ISLAMABAD, May 22 (WNP): Accoding to synoptic situation, a shallow westerly wave is affecting western parts of the country and likely to grip upper and central parts of the country on Wednesday night and may persist during the next two days, the met office reported.
Mainly hot and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country. However dust-thunderstorm rain with few hailstorms is expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab – Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions and Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Quetta, Kalat, Zhob, Sukkur and Larkana divisions and Gilgit Baltistan.
While on Thursday, dust-thunderstorm rain with few hailstorms is expected at scattered places in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa – Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Bannu, Dera Ismail Khan divisions and in Punjab – Bahawalpur, Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, Sahiwal, Sargodha, Faisalabad, Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi divisions and Islamabad and Kashmir, while at isolated places in Quetta, Kalat, Zhob divisions and Gilgit Baltistan.
Hot and dry weather is expected elsewhere in the country.
Shaheed Benazirabad remained 44°C while Jaccobabad, Chhor and Mithi 43°C during the day.
