PARIS, Sept 06 (WNP): Pakistani and Kashmiri diasporas in France Friday observed Defense and Martyrs Day in solidarity with the oppressed people of Indian occupied Kashmir (IoK) in a simple and dignified ceremony held in the Embassy of Pakistan in Paris.
Speaking on the occasion, Ambassador of Pakistan to France Mr Moin ul Haque paid tribute to the valiant armed forces and the martyrs.
He also expressed Pakistan’s un-flinching and unwavering support to the people of IoK for their right to self-determination.
He called upon the international community and humanitarian organizations to pay lead to the plight of the sufferings of the people of IoK who have been locked down under a curfew and denied access to food and medicines for over a month now.
He also reminded the permanent members of the United National Security Council (UNSC) of their responsibility for resolving the long-outstanding dispute of Kashmir in accordance with the UNSC’s resolution and aspirations of the IoK people, which is essential for peace and stability in the region.
The messages of the president and prime minister were read on the occasion.
