LINE OF CONTROL, Sept 06 (WNP): Prime Minister Imran Khan And Chief of Army Satff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa Friday visited the Line of Control (LoC) to mark the Defence and Martyrs Day and to express solidarity with Kashmiris.

Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Defence Minister Pervez Khattak and Kashmir Committee Chairman Syed Fakhar Imam were accompanied with the prime minister.
On the occasion, the prime minister was brief on the overall ongoing situation on the LoC. He interacted with local victims of Indian ceasefire violations (CFVs). He also interacted with troops deployed on the LoC.
Prime Minister Khan appreciated the state of readiness, effective response to Indian CFVs and high morale of the troops.
Talking to families of martyrs and injured, he lauded their decades of resilience and said Indian deliberate targeting of unarmed civilians in Azad Jammu and Kashmir and continued siege of innocent Kashmiris Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir are the worst examples of the human rights violations.
He reiterated that the Pakistan firmly stands by Kashmiris for their right of self-determination.
He said our current efforts are meant to expose fascist Indian regime to the world adding our armed forces are fully capable and prepared to thwart any Indian misadventure or aggression.
