ISLAMABAD, Sept 24 (WNP): A strong earthquake jolted several cities in the northern parts of the country — including Islamabad, Peshawar, Rawalpindi and Lahore — on Tuesday afternoon.
The temors lasted for 8 to 10 seconds but were felt strongly. No injuries or damage has been reported as yet.
The quake, which according to reports was of 5.7 magnitude, sent people racing out of buildings and offices in cities across the country. They were praying and reciting verses from the Holy Quran.
