Dawat-e-Islami to remain apolitical: Ilyas Qardri

ISLAMABAD, September 3, 2020 (WNP/DL): Dawat-e-Islami Founder Maulana Muhammad Ilyas Attar Qadri Thursday night reiterated his resolve that Dawat-e-Islami would remain out of politics in future too as political gimmicks used in present arena mismatched the true spirit of Islam.

He said this while marking 39th birth anniversary of Dawat-e-Islami on Madani Channel.

“I do not mean that politics is not a suitable profession but the jargons in current political set up are against the teachings of Islam,” Ilyas Qadri said and added, “I would be the first one to join politics if it would be purely based on Islamic injections.”

Addressing Dawat-e-Islami executive committee members, he said “Whenever you want to dissolve Dawat-e-Islami, you need not to announce it officially, you just step in politics, it will be perished automatically.”

Seconding Ameer Ahle-Sunnat Ilyas Qadri, Dawat-e-Islami Executive Committee Head Maulana Muhammad Imran Attari issued the policy statement of Dawat-e-Islami that it would have no role in politics in future as well and keep on bringing reforms in lives of the people across the world as per its basic motive.

Due to standing aloof from political activities since its inception on September 02, 1981, the message of Dawat-e-Islami had successfully reached in the entire world and in 56 countries, it was functioning on proper organizational structure basis, he added.

Besides providing services in 108 departments, he said Dawat-e-Islami Welfare Trust was extending all out assistance to the rainwater-hit people across the country.

Using its all available resources, Imran Attari said, it was providing cooked meal, ration and cash to the affected people as it provided to hundreds of thousands of families during the COVID-19 pandemic not only in Pakistan but all over the world.

He said it also donated more than 31,000 blood bags to the thalassemia’s patients during lockdown in the wake of deadly virous.

He said a number of COVID-19 recovered patients provided plasma to the under-treatment patients in a bid to save them from the viral infection under the umbrella of Dawat-e-Islami Welfare Trust.

He urged the haves to keep on providing their helping hands to Dawat-e-Islami so that it could continue its mission to humanize the world.
